We provide job opportunities for vulnerable people within our stores, factories and logistics centres.
At Inditex we develop various initiatives aiming to promote the integration into the labour market of people with special needs or in a vulnerable situation. An example of social initiative is the Salta Project, which started in France in 2008 under the name Jeunes and reached Spain in 2010.
Its objective is to provide job opportunities within our stores, factories and logistics centres, for people who live in situations of social exclusion. Thanks to its excellent results and positive reception the project has been extended to 14 markets: Brazil, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom and United States.
924 people have been trained and joined the Group thanks to this project and the involvement of 1,259 employees who have taken part as trainers, tutors and mentors in each one of its editions, guaranteeing an effective adaptation and incorporation in the workplace. 67% of these youths are still working at the company and 7% have already been promoted internally.
Salta counts on the essential collaboration of over 40 social entities who support us during the entire process, from selecting and training to following people once they have been incorporated in the workplace.
