Inditex is contributing 5 billion Colombian pesos (€1.37 million) to the emergency response programme launched by the Colombian Red Cross to support people affected by the earthquake, through the Spanish Red Cross and in coordination with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
Inditex’s contribution will help strengthen the emergency healthcare response and ensure the continuity of health services in the affected areas. The funding will support the deployment of specialised personnel and mobile healthcare services, as well as the procurement of medical equipment and supplies needed to provide care to those affected.
The contribution will also support people's emotional and social wellbeing and measures to facilitate access to healthcare and safe water, helping to address the most urgent needs during the emergency response.
In addition, Inditex has set up a channel for voluntary monetary contributions from its employees in Spain, which will complement the company’s contribution to the Colombian Red Cross.
