Better Cotton Initiative

The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is a not-for-profit organisation bringing together the cotton industry’s complex supply chain, from farmers, spinners and manufacturers to retailers. It exists to make global cotton production better for the people who produce it, better for the environment and better for the sector’s future. Better Work

Better Work brings diverse groups together – governments, global brands, factory owners, unions and workers – to improve working conditions in the garment industry and make the sector more competitive. Better Work aims to have a significant and direct impact through its own country-based programmes in the garment sector, as well as its influence, knowledge sharing and partnerships. We have teamed up with Better Work to help establish fundamental labour rights in supplier factories, such as in Cambodia, Vietnam and Indonesia.

Through this partnership we developed our Forest Product Policy, and work towards its goals through traceability and transparency of the supply chain, sustainable sourcing, encouraging governments to conserve the world’s ancient and endangered forests, and innovation in the use of recycled and alternative fibre sources for fabric.
