The virtual store (www.zarahome.com) will be available in thirteen European countries, with the same prices as those in the actual stores

The Vice President and Chief Executive of Inditex, Pablo Isla, announced today during the course of a meeting with investors in New York, that from October, Zara Home will begin to sell its products online.

The on-line purchase of Zara Home products can be made from thirteen European countries: Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom. The products offered online will include, from the start, an extensive catalogue of around 2,000 items from all the present lines in the Zara Home and Zara Home Kids collections.

The selling prices will be identical to those in store, and in the currency of the country of purchase. All major credit cards will be accepted, along with the Inditex Affinity Card, in the countries where available.

Zara Home will aim to dispatch the products purchased online within a maximum period of ten days, and will maintain a policy of exchanges and returns similar to that of their store sales. The products purchased through the website can be exchanged or returned in the chain’s stores.

Visitors to www.zarahome.com will be able to subscribe to a weekly bulletin on sales and new products. A specialised customer service will also be available both by email as well as by telephone, and in six languages (Spanish, English, French, German, Italian and Portuguese).

Since Zara Home opened its first store in August 2003, it has been extremely well received by the public. This has been reflected both in the growth of its sales –which reached 139 million euros in 2006, with an increase of 78% with respect to the previous year- and in its commercial expansion. It is currently present in 18 countries with 174 stores, 22 of them opened this year. By the end of 2007, it is planned to incorporate between 35 and 45 new stores, 70% of which are outside Spain.

Zara Home has introduced textile and decorative products for the home that follow the latest interior trends and are in keeping with the ethos of constant change and fast fashion that is characteristic of all the chains within the Inditex group.
