Uterqüe celebrates its first year on the retail scene

Uterqüe celebrates its first year on the retail scene as the winter 2009-2010 season gets underway. The new collection has already landed at more than 40 stores in seven countries, among them a new store opening today on Madrid’s Gran Vía.

Uterqüe offers an attractive collection inspired by the late 1970s and early 1980s. The new season features excess and opulence in counterpoint to sober clothes with a touch of decadence.

First anniversary and new stores

The presentation of the autumn-winter collection coincides with Uterqüe’s first birthday and the simultaneous opening of three new stores: in Madrid – the Spanish capital's third store, located on Gran Vía 44; in Brussels, located at Zaventem airport; and in Dubai, in one of the emirate’s leading shopping centres, Mall of the Emirates. In addition, the retailer has updated its website with a new, more minimalist and conceptual look in which the product plays a lead role.  The site's new features include a section exclusively for members of the media.  

Like other Inditex Group retailers, Uterqüe has a firm commitment to international expansion, and following its first year in business it now has 40 stores in seven countries: Spain, Portugal, Greece, Belgium, Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
