Inditex to be part of the environmental awareness-raising “Earth Hour” event
Inditex will take part in the “Earth Hour” campaign, an event created by a NGO, WWF, and endorsed by United Nations. This is one of the biggest environmental awareness-raising acts against climate change ever carried out.
On Saturday 28th, between 20:30 and 21:30, lights of symbolic buildings in some 3,000 cities in the world will be turned off. Inditex will support such initiative and will keep unlit the windows of a number of stores located on the main shopping streets worldwide. Inditex’s headquarters and the headquarter of all its formats will also follow suit and will keep its lights switched off for one hour.
A key part of the environmental and energy-saving commitment made by Inditex through its Environmental Strategic Plan, consists of awareness-raising and training initiatives and in line with such goal, in addition to taking part in the Earth Hour, Inditex will also hold several communication events with its employees in a great number of countries.
