29.02.2008

The entering of Pull and Bear in Indonesia coincides with an opening of a Massimo Dutti store in Hong Kong. Inditex continues its expansion in the Asia-Pacific region, an area where the Group has a higher pace of growth.

The second Massimo Dutti store in Hong Kong has yesterday opened in Harbour City, one of the most significant commercial areas in the city. The store has more than 600 sqm of retail space, two entrances and 30 metres of frontage with five shop windows. With this opening, Massimo Dutti reaches three stores in China, since its first shop opened in Macao in September 2007.

Tomorrow sees the opening of the first Indonesian Pull and Bear store at the Grand Indonesia shopping centre in Jakarta. The centre, one of the largest in the capital, renowned for young, trendy, street fashion will bring the total number of stores to 526 in 36 countries.

After Europe, Asia-Pacific is Inditex’s second priority area of growth. With these openings, the Group reaches 87 stores in the region, located in seven countries: Japan, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Filipinas and Thailand. In 2008, Inditex’s next area of expansion will be Korea.
