Year 2006
- Logistics Platform of Leon has been certified according to the UNE EN ISO 14001:2004 Standard.
- Implantation of the Sustainability and eco-efficiency model upon launching the new Stores (windows are lighted lesser hours; choice of more efficient ligthning systems; readjustment of comfort criteria; specific training for store staff…).
- Design of a web platform for environment training, allowing to provide on-line courses on environment awareness to be taken by the whole staff worldwide.
- Spreading, by means of the corporate magazine, of articles covering the sustainability issue.
- Incorporation of criteria for the efficient use of energy in the facilities of Logistics Platform in León, and Logistics Platform in Meco (Madrid) which combine insulation, centralised control of air conditiong, efficient lightning and operating schedules criteria.
- Performance of energy audits by external bodies, which have assessed the energy flows in the development of our operations in industrial and logistics facilities.
- Technical implementation and approval of a proyect to install photovoltaic solar enery at the Logistics Platform in Meco (Madrid), Logistics Platform Europe (Zaragoza) and Logistics Platform León.
- Completion of the research and design stage regarding the environmental life-cycle analysis (LCA) of textile products in own factories. Definition of a simplified tool to conduct LCA.
